Woodlands Live Cam, Singapore
Live Woodlands webcam over the MRT line and the Johor Bahru skyline, northern Singapore.
Weekday mornings in Woodlands start before sunrise, with trains filling up for the ride south into the city; by Friday evening the flow has reversed, toward the Causeway and Johor Bahru. The Woodlands live cam follows that rhythm from a 12th-floor home in Singapore’s northernmost town, looking over the housing blocks and the elevated tracks of the North–South Line, with the towers of Johor Bahru across the Johor Strait on the horizon. It sits with the other live cams in Singapore on the site.
The trains are the main event on this live stream. Woodlands MRT station opened on 10 February 1996 as an elevated stop between Marsiling and Admiralty, and on 31 January 2020 it became an interchange when the underground platforms of the Thomson–East Coast Line opened. Beneath it is the Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub, the first MRT station in Singapore built with a bus interchange directly underneath. For more rail views, browse our train cams.
Does the Woodlands webcam show the Checkpoint?
No. This live camera looks over the town, while the Woodlands Checkpoint sits about 2 km to the northwest, at the Singapore end of the Causeway. It is one of the busiest land crossings in the world: Singapore’s Immigration & Checkpoints Authority counted an average of 327,000 travellers a day there in 2024, with a record 376,000 on 20 December 2024. A phased expansion of the checkpoint into the Old Woodlands Town Centre began in 2025.
The Causeway itself, a little over 1 km long, was officially opened on 28 June 1924. A second rail link is about to join it: the RTS Link, a five-minute shuttle from Woodlands North station to Bukit Chagar in Johor Bahru, is expected to start carrying passengers by the end of 2026, with about 40,000 riders a day at launch. Once it is running, the KTM Shuttle Tebrau train that now crosses the Causeway will be fully replaced by June 2027.
If you plan to cross by car or bus, the queues on both sides are longest on Friday evenings and at the start of school holidays, so check the official traffic advisories before setting off. When it is quiet in Woodlands, more than 200 other free live webcams are streaming from the rest of the world.
