East Coast webcams, from Times Square to Key West

New York’s biggest night on camera is December 31, when the ball that first dropped from One Times Square in 1907 comes down again at midnight. Four angles of the square share one player on the live view of Times Square, from Duffy Square to the NASDAQ tower on 43rd Street.

In Washington, D.C., a camera run by the U.S. Senate keeps the U.S. Capitol live cam on the Capitol dome, the cast-iron structure that went up between 1855 and 1866, straight through the Civil War.

At the southern tip of Florida, the Key West webcam points at the corner of Duval and Greene Streets outside Sloppy Joe’s, a bar that first opened on December 5, 1933, the day Prohibition ended.

About 160 miles north by road, the Miami cruise port cam looks across Biscayne Bay at the cruise terminals on Dodge Island. Weekends are the time to watch, when several ships often leave one after another in the late afternoon.

Southern live cams: Nashville, New Orleans and the Texas coast

Nashville’s feeds stay close to Lower Broadway, the stretch of honky-tonks between the Cumberland River and Fifth Avenue, where the Ryman Auditorium sits half a block north of the strip.

In Louisiana, the New Orleans live cam looks down on Bourbon Street from the balcony of the Cat’s Meow, the karaoke bar on the corner of St. Peter Street in the French Quarter. The street is at its fullest on Mardi Gras, which falls on February 9 in 2027.

Near the Mexican border, the Starship live cam watches the SpaceX launch site at Starbase, beside Boca Chica Beach, a company town that voters incorporated as a Texas city in May 2025.

USA live cams from Hawaii to Yellowstone

Lava is the reason to open the Kīlauea volcano cam, a U.S. Geological Survey camera aimed into Halemaʻumaʻu crater at the summit of Kīlauea, on the Island of Hawaiʻi.

Since December 23, 2024, the eruption there has come in short bursts of lava fountaining, and the USGS Hawaiian Volcano Observatory’s updates log every one. Episode 55 ended on October 17, 2026, after just under six hours.

On Oahu, the Pipeline surf cam faces the reef off Ehukai Beach Park on the North Shore, where the big waves arrive with the winter swells from about November to February.

Inland, the Yellowstone live cam follows Old Faithful in the Upper Geyser Basin of Wyoming, inside the park Congress created in 1872 as the first national park. Monument Valley on the Utah and Arizona line and the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, held every August in South Dakota since 1938, are among the other live webcams in the US further down the grid.

On the Pacific, the California webcams run from Morro Bay and Santa Monica down to the Huntington Beach Pier and Disneyland in Anaheim.

Because of the time difference, the easiest way through these USA live cams is east to west: evening crowds in Times Square and on Bourbon Street first, then sunset in California and Hawaii a few hours later. When the country goes quiet overnight, our live cams worldwide cover the places where the morning is just starting.
