Downtown Nashville Live Cam from Acme Feed & Seed
Live SkyNet webcam at the foot of Lower Broadway, Nashville, Tennessee, USA.
Lower Broadway runs downhill to the Cumberland River, and the last building before the water, on the corner of First Avenue, is the three-story Acme Feed & Seed. The downtown Nashville live cam on this page comes from a SkyNet weather camera that the local TV station NewsChannel 5 (WTVF) placed at Acme, so the picture shows the foot of Broadway and the riverfront in Nashville, Tennessee, live at any hour. It sits with the other Nashville webcams on the site.
Forecasters use the feed to show the weather over downtown in real time: rain on the pavement, low cloud over the river, fog in the early morning. That also makes it a practical check before heading out: a look at the sky tells you if an umbrella is needed, or if it is worth waiting for a downpour to pass before walking up to the honky-tonks.
For the music itself, the Broadway Nashville live cam stays on the honky-tonk strip farther up the street, where bands play from late morning until the bars close.
What is the Acme Feed & Seed building?
J.R. Whitemore put up the building around 1890 on a limestone basement, and it went through a grocery, a soda works and the Bearden Buggy Company, which installed an elevator in 1913. From 1943 the Acme store sold feed, straw, wire and tools to farmers, until it closed in 1999. The National Park Service record for 101 Broadway covers its listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
After a restoration of about $6.5 million, Acme reopened in July 2014 as a bar, restaurant and music venue, with a roof deck carried on steel columns anchored in bedrock and a view across the Cumberland.
On the Fourth of July the river in front of the downtown Nashville live cam turns into the launch area for the city’s fireworks, fired from four points on the Cumberland near Nissan Stadium. In 2025, more than 300,000 people were expected on Lower Broadway for the show.
Few weather cameras anywhere sit on a building that sold poultry feed for 56 years. When it is the middle of the night in Tennessee, our live cams worldwide cover places where it is already daytime.
